Frequently Asked Questions
I hope that the below will answer any of your questions, concerns or fears but do drop me a line if there is anything you are still unsure about.
Is therapy for me?
I believe everyone can benefit from therapy. Understanding yourself better can really help you manage everyday stresses and emotions much easier.
How do I know you're the right therapist for me?
Like any relationship, and in some ways moreso, it is important that you feel comfortable with me. The only way to know is for us to meet. Before we start with the sessions, we will have a free 30 minute video call to ensure that I understand what your needs from therapy are and to give us a chance to see if we feel we would be able to work together. If after this, we both feel happy to, we can book in our first session.
How long is a session and how much does it cost?
Each session costs £55 and lasts 50 minutes (what is known as a therapeutic hour).
Will you be able to advise me on problems?
I can't give you answers or advice because I believe you know the answers yourself. Therapy is not about one person providing answers or solutions to another but about helping you find them within yourself.
What can therapy help with?
Therapy can help with a large number of issues that you find are affecting your everyday life that you want to work towards changing.
What can I expect from my first session?
The first full session will be dedicated to understanding what you want from therapy and getting to know you. What brings you to me at this stage in your life? What do you hope to achieve?
How many sessions will I need?
Every situation is unique and it's hard to predict.
I tend to work in an open-ended way. However, we can work together to find a solution that fits your needs. If you prefer to work within a specific timeframe or a specific number of sessions to work on a particular issue, just let me know when we first talk. Alternatively, we can work together until you decide to stop.

I build review sessions in as we go though so can discuss on a regular basis.
